Release Neck and Shoulder Tension with the “Tackling Pose”

If you spend your days behind a desk or find yourself rubbing at your neck and shoulders after long hours, you’re not alone. That tightness in the upper traps — the muscles that connect your neck to your shoulders — can build up from posture, stress, or simply too much time at the computer. Over time, that tension can even lead to headaches that start at the base of your skull and travel upward.

In this week’s video, you’ll learn a simple movement using a ball and a doorway to target those stubborn areas of tension. It’s designed to help release the upper traps, scalenes, and levator scapulae — key muscles responsible for shoulder and neck mobility.

This technique, known as the “Tackling Pose,” helps break up adhesions, improve circulation, and restore natural movement through the upper back and neck. You’ll feel more relaxed, lighter, and ready to take on your day.
